Dear Ed,
Lest we forget...
I want to urge Kiwis to be very aware of the battle over the economy in the political forum. It appears to be the perfect smoke screen. Don’t get me wrong, it is important to find a solution. We all want to work towards a better economy, we must remember that the lack of foresight and preparation over the years of plenty are at the root of our current position. But let’s not forget what legislation has been passed by our leaders without our consent behind the scenes. The Greens anti smacking legislation was passed mostly by Labour and National against approx 86% opposition by Kiwis! It must be an election issue. The Kiwi Party leader Larry Baldock has led the petition against it and Kiwis want change! The electoral finance act, the prostitution reform act, civil unions was even pushed through against Kiwi opinion. The foreshore and seabed legislation, the list goes on. Let’s not forget the promises millions in profits Labour promised through Kyoto, the Kiwi Party will pull out – it’s a farce and about to cost us taxpayers billions ( the politicians responsible will be long retired with a six figure annual package by then, paid again by us). The emissions trading scheme and carbon credits is killing the food supply in third world countries and dumbfounding anyone trying to understand the credits including those who fumbled it together. So what happens when China buys 80% of New Zealand’s carbon credits and land locks most of the country to any kind of alternative use? Lest we forget that Kiwis are quite capable and should be consulted by Parliament on critical issues affecting this generation and the next. This election consider giving your vote to your voice – the Kiwi Party. There is a real alternative.
Not because of the people who are evil;
but because of the people who don't do anything about it."
